How about ‘Twelve Listicles You Meet on Your Way to Hell’? lol/sigh

I totally hear you re: the tone of money-making content and art sharing content. Tragically, I think that same hypervisibility thing has poisoned book reviewing because, on the one hand, reviewing a book with nuance and skill takes time, and on the other hand, you’ve got to pump out those Insta posts to keep up. And everybody else is writing GLOMAR book reviews, so why not?

The funny thing is, Medium is so much better than the rest of the platforms (at least in terms of what it offers as possibility for conversation, like this!), but there’s still something about it that prioritizes entrepreneurial mamble yamble.

Should we all just go back to tumblr or …?
